Pilot Prep Online (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Private Pilot Ground School platform. By using our service, you consent to the practices described here.

• Account information — name, email address, and password hash (stored by Firebase Authentication)
• Profile data — display name, photo URL (if you sign in with Google), and role
• Course progress — lessons completed, practice exam scores, and study time
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We receive only a transaction reference, your email, and payment status. We never see or store card numbers, CVV, or expiry dates.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and error logs for improving the platform
• Email address — if you subscribe to our mailing list (managed by MailerLite)

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide access to course content and track your progress
• Process enrollment and send payment confirmations
• Send course-related emails and instructor communications
• Issue FAA Written Test Endorsement documentation where applicable
• Improve the platform and diagnose technical issues

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore database) with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. API keys and integration credentials are stored in Google Cloud Secret Manager — not in your profile or our database. We implement access controls so that only authenticated users can access their own data.

6. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication (Firebase session token). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell your data to advertisers. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from logging in.

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your account and associated data; opt out of marketing emails at any time (unsubscribe link in every email). 8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify enrolled students of material changes via email and update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
