This Cookie Policy explains how Pilot Prep Online uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide reporting information to site owners. We also use related browser-storage technologies (localStorage) for the same purposes.

2. How we categorize the cookies we set

Essential

These are required for the site to function. They cannot be disabled.

  • Authentication session (__pp_auth) — set after sign-in so navigation between protected pages doesn't require re-authentication. Cleared on sign-out.
  • Anti-bot challenge (Cloudflare Turnstile) — set briefly when you submit a form so we can confirm the request isn't automated.

Analytics (optional)

These help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve content and performance. Loaded only after you click Accept on our cookie banner.

  • Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) — pageview and session metrics. Provided by Google.
  • Internal visitor identifier (koursiq_v_id in localStorage) — anonymous random ID used to count distinct visitors and de-duplicate page-view events server-side.

Marketing

We do not currently set advertising or third-party marketing cookies. If we ever do, this policy and the consent banner will be updated.

3. Manage your preferences

You can also clear all cookies via your browser settings. Clearing the cookie_consent_v1 entry resets your decision and the banner will reappear on your next visit.

4. Third-party cookies

Some pages embed content from third parties. When you interact with that content, the third party may set its own cookies, governed by its own policy:

  • Stripe — when you proceed to checkout, you are redirected to Stripe and Stripe may set fraud-prevention cookies.
  • Mux / YouTube — when you play a video, the player may set playback preference cookies.
